Art and Teach

Sharon Finmark works as an artist across a diverse range of media - from newspaper commissions to artwork for brochures, book covers and even wine labels.

She was born and brought up in London, where she still lives. Originally Sharon studied at St Martins School of Art and has subsequently preferred to work on figurative subjects in watercolour, acrylic and pastel.

She has also spent time with the RSC and the National Theatre and completed studies of Ian Holm as King Lear and Robert Lindsay as Richard III.

Sharon Finmark was appointed Artist in Residence with BBC Radio 4's prestigious early morning news programme, the Today programme.

In addition to my work as an artist I also teach painting and life drawing in all media. I can offer courses at all levels and am a visiting lecturer for several London Colleges. Courses are being planned at several locations in the London area this year. Currently course titles include:

Watercolour and acrylics
Life Drawing and Painting

These courses are scheduled for both daytime and evening sessions. Private and one-to-one tuition is also available.
